Call on Herlihy Mayflower. We’ve been moving furniture so long that many of the new pieces we delivered in the 1920s are now considered antique!
We’re proud to have many repeat customers like Lynn and Beverly C., who most recently called for help with a move from Waverly, Ohio to Kettering, Ohio.
Waverly is a historic village of about 4,500 residents near the Scioto River in Pike County, Ohio. Historians believe the area has been occupied for more than 15,000 years by a succession of Native American peoples, including the mound-building Adena and Hopewell cultures. When European settlers arrived, they encountered the Shawnee tribe. Tecumseh, the famous Shawnee chief, was born near Waverly in 1768. The village of Waverly was platted circa 1829 and grew prosperous as result of the Ohio and Erie Canal in the 1830. By 1861, it had become the seat of Pike County.
Located in Montgomery and Greene counties, Kettering is the largest suburb of Dayton. With about 56,000 residents, the city and surrounding area were originally settled as farmland in the 17th and 18th centuries. It is named after longtime resident and inventor Charles F. Kettering, founder of Delco Electronics.
After our Chillicothe moving team finished unloading their furniture and household goods at their new home in Kettering, the couple wrote to let us know how pleased they were with the moving process. “Our crew was exceptional!” they said. “They moved some very heavy and treasured items with great care, expertise and good cheer.”
Many thanks for your business and kind words, Lynn and Beverly! We wish you all the best in your new Kettering, Ohio home.
