New Albany, Hilliard and Grandview are Fastest-Growing Columbus Suburbs

Since the 2010 census, New Albany has grown 32.4 percent, more than any other Franklin County city. Hilliard has grown 22.8 percent and Grandview Heights 16.7 percent.
Suburbs with slower growth include Grove City with 1.30 percent, Westerville with 1.17 percent, Gahanna with 1.08 percent, Canal Winchester with 1.01 percent, and Worthington with .27 percent. For a list of Ohio cities and their growth rates, see this Columbus Dispatch article.
In comparison, population has increased 9.3 percent in the city of Columbus and 8.7 percent in Franklin County overall.
A report by the Mid-Ohio Regional Planning Commission estimates that the seven-county region of central Ohio is on pace to attract approximately 1 million new people between 2010 and 2050, for a total of 3 million residents by 2050.
Outside of central Ohio, the city of Athens grew 1.69 percent, while the Chillicothe population remained relatively stable.
