The Fayette County seat, Washington Court House is a city of about 15,000 residents located roughly halfway between Columbus and Cincinnati on Interstate 71. The Clark County seat, Springfield is a city of about 60,000 residents approximately 45 miles west of Columbus and 25 miles northeast of Dayton.
