Relocation Policy
- Moving Expenses. The Clinic will reimburse Provider for normal household moving expenses for relocation. “Normal household moving expenses” shall include usual and standard handling and relocation of Provider’s immediate family’s personal belongings and usual household items to the practice area as defined in the Provider’s employment agreement. Provider shall be responsible for paying any applicable state and federal taxes on such payment.
- Expenses covered under these guidelines include:
- Professional moving company services
- Moving truck, trailer, and equipment rental
- Packing supplies
- Transportation of household goods and personal belongings
- Lodging incurred during relocation travel
- Airfare associated with relocation travel
- Mileage at the approved system reimbursement rate or actual fuel expenses (not both)
- Meals incurred during relocation travel for you and members of your household, up to $200 per day
- Transportation of personal-use vehicles and recreational vehicles, including automobiles, motorcycles, boats, trailers, lawn equipment, and golf carts
- Other relocation expenses approved in advance by the Chief Medical Offer upon recommendation of Provider Relations
- Expenses NOT covered under this policy include, but are not limited to:
- Realtor commissions, closing costs, mortgage fees, and other expenses associated with buying or selling a home
- Utility deposits and installation fees
- Home repairs, renovations, or improvements
- Temporary housing
- Storage expenses
- Cleaning services
- Childcare expenses
- Personal entertainment expenses
- Alcoholic beverages
- Expenses related to a secondary residence
- Business equipment, inventory, commercial vehicles, livestock, and other business-related assets
- Payments made to friends, family members, or other individuals who assist with packing, loading, unloading, transportation belongings, or other moving-related labor.
