Feeding Hungry Kids through Ross County’s Mighty Active Packs Club
Posted By: herlihywp Comments: 0 Categories: communityWe’re proud to be a moving force behind the new Mighty Active Packs Club. Through this program, the United Way of Ross County and The Ross County Hunger Coalition are partnering with Mid-Ohio Foodbank to help kids get the nutritious and easy-to-prepare food they need for the weekend. So far, more than 100 kids have signed up for the club.
Every week, Herlihy Moving & Storage drivers transport food from the Mid-Ohio Foodbank in Columbus to our warehouse on South Watt Street in Chillicothe. Volunteers gather at the warehouse every Thursday to pack up bundles of food. On Friday, children at Tiffin Elementary School, Huntington Local School District and Southeastern Local School District receive packs of food to take home with them.
We consider it an honor and a privilege to give back to the community that has done so much for our family and our business over the past 95 years. If you’d like to donate or volunteer to support the Mighty Active Packs Club, visit the United Way of Ross County website.
